Our Ethos

All of the directors of The Payhouse have been involved in operating small companies for several years, and so they understand more than most, the difficulties of employing staff.   These days you have to contend with so much legislation, that it becomes a bit of a minefield for the employers who are not used to running payroll themselves. They have to rely on others, but how do they know that the service they use is good? The fact is that most of the time they don’t know and have to put their trust in the person who is preparing their payroll for them.

We are a bit different to a lot of accountancy practices and payroll bureaux because we really don’t mind answering questions and providing explanations.   To maintain trust in an advisor most people will want to know the reason for the actions taken or advice given, and that is why we are very happy to provide explanations.

We also understand that it is not always possible for you to provide accurate information at a time when it is needed to enable us to calculate the payroll. We can usually suggest ways round this because we understand, more than anything, that for us its just numbers, but for the employee it is important to be paid when they are expecting to be.
